WARNING!!! You are entering into dangerous territory!. When preparing an egg salad you need to cool your eggs completely!. IF however you prefer them warm for the salad that is fine!. However if you make a warm egg salad, you need to dispose of it when you will not eat it further!. Eggs are considered a PHF (potentially hazardous food) and so is mayonnaise!. If you make a warm egg salad and then store it!. You increase the risk of culturing e!. coli and other nasty bacteria!. If you are deadset on making a warm egg salad for consumption later, make it a fully cold salad to start, and try warming it in the oven on a low heat (to prevent the mayo from seperating) for 5 minutes or in a hot water bath!. That is- put it in a metal or glass bowl and set that bowl in another bowl of hot water!. Leaving it in the sun (this especially) or at room temperature will send you running to the toilet- or to the hospital!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Hot egg salad sounds aweful nor is it commercially prepared and offered in this manner!. Try ordering a hot egg-salad sandwich at your favorite deli!? I gaurantee they'll always remember you from then on!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
leave it out in the sun for a couple of hours, or you could put it in the oven for 5 minutesWww@FoodAQ@Com
I have never heard of heating it the first time!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I've never even heard of HOT or warm egg salad! !.!.!. It's always served COLD!Www@FoodAQ@Com
just let it sit out and get to room temperature!. the mayo will spoil if you try to heat it upWww@FoodAQ@Com
