Fresh Fruit Salsa & Cinnamon Tortilla Chips

Fresh Fruit Salsa

Ingredients

Two apples (preferably Fuji or Granny Smith)
Three kiwis
Eight strawberries
Two peaches
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons of lime juice

Instructions

1) Clean all of the fruit!.

2) Peel the kiwi and peaches, followed by chopping all of the fruit into bite-sized pieces!.

3) Place the fruit in a bowl and toss with lime juice!.

4) Sprinkle with sugar and toss again!.

5) Chill for 10 minutes and serve with cinnamon tortilla chips available at the grocery store!.

If you wish to make cinnamon tortilla chips on your own, consider the following recipe:

Cinnamon Tortilla Chips

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
8 (8-inch) flour tortillas
6 tablespoons of butter (melted)

Instructions

1) In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon!. Set aside!.

2) Brush melted butter on the tops of the tortillas!.

3) Cut each tortilla into eight wedges!.

4) Arrange the tortillas in a single layer on a baking sheet!.

5) Lightly sprinkle the cinnamon mixture on top of the tortillas!.

6) Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 4 to 6 minutes!. Store in an airtight container for later use!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

SPINCACH ARTICHOKE DIP
SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP

1 large sour cream
1 box frozen chopped spinach
1 jar artichoke (puree)
1 envelope savory herbs with garlic
1 bag shredded Italian cheese
2 fresh baked White Mountain breads

In a medium to large saucepan, heat the sour cream add the frozen spinach (does not need to be thawed)!. When both are heated and mix well add the jar of pureed artichoke, mix well add 1 envelope of Savory Herbs with Garlic; mix well!.
Add the whole bag of shredded cheese and mix well!. When the cheese is melted and well blended, remove from heat!.

Take one of the White Mountain Breads, and remove most of the center, creating a bowl-like interior!. Pour spinach dip into center!.

Cut the removed section and the second bread into small pieces and place on tray around bread-bowl!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is really good and teenagers love it!. Note that it has peanut butter so anyone with a peanut allergy should not eat it!.


Chex Muddy Buddies

Ingredients:
9 cups Chex cereal (any variety)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Preparation Directions:
Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside!. In 1-quart saucepan, heat chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter over low heat, stirring frequently, until melted!. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla!. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated!. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag!. Add powdered sugar!. Seal bag; shake until well coated!. 2 Tbsp!. yak oil for cooking
2 medium onions, chopped finely
4 cloves garlic, chopped finely
6 medium tomatoes, grated coarsely
6 bird eggs
some salt
some pepper and cayenne pepper to taste
some Tabasco (optional)

In a heavy skillet heat the yak oil and in this saute the onion and garlic just until they are beginning to turn brown!. Add the grated tomatoes, cover and cook over a low flame for 15 minutes!. Break the bird eggs over the surface of the mixture and sprinkle with salt, pepper and cayenne to taste!. Cover and cook until the eggs are firm (5 - 7 minutes)!. Sprinkle with Tabasco if desired!. Wash strawberries, set out with a bowl of brown sugar and a bowl of sour cream!. Dip berries first into sour cream then into sugar and listen for the yummie sounds!.

more work less sugar: get bbq bamboo skewers and chop up summer fruit: cantalope, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries and make fruit skewers

I love mini-quiesh (spelling!?!?!?)!. They are great fresh out of the oven, but also good cold!.

If it's for tweens, younger girls, try turkey, cheese, mustard and lettuce wraps!. It's great in flat bread and super easy to make!. You literally roll it all together then cut it into slices!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Spread creme cheese on tortillas, place sliced ham on top, roll them up, then slice into like little pin wheels!.
