Trying to find a marinade for shark steaks...any ideas please?!

All Purpose Marinade for Shark --
Ingredients
1/4 cup sweet sherry, can use dry
1/4 cup salad oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1-2 garlic clove, minced
1 dash worcestershire sauce
ground pepper, to taste
Directions
1) Combine all ingredients!.
2) Marinate fish from 1-2 hours depending on thickness!.
3) Use to baste while cooking!.

Spicy Shark Puttu(Indian Dry Shark Sabzi ) --
1/2 kg shark
3 large onions, peeled,washed and finely chopped
1 inch fresh ginger, peeled,washed and finely chopped
10 cloves garlic, peeled,washed and finely chopped
5 green chilies, washed,ends trimmed and finely chopped
3 teaspoons black pepper
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
4 stalks of fresh curry leaves, washed and torn
3 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, washed and chopped,to garnish
salt
1 cup oil
Boil water in a large pot on high flame!.
Once the water has boiled, put the shark fish in it!.
Cover the pot with a lid and keep aside for 10 minutes!.
Now, remove the skin of the shark and wash the shark well to make sure its clean!.
Apply salt and turmeric powder to the clean shark!.
Mash the shark as well as you can now!.
Keep aside!.
Heat oil in a wok!.
Add ginger and garlic!.
Stir-fry until the raw smell of both is gone!.
Toss in the onions now!.
Stir-fry until they turn brown!.
Add curry leaves and green chillies!.
Lower flame and saute for 2 minutes!.
Add turmeric, red chilli and black pepper powders, followed by salt, mixing well as you do so!.
Now add the mashed shark to this mixture!.
Mix well and allow it to cook for 5 minutes on low heat!.
Remove from flame!.
Garnish with corriander leaves!.
Serve with steamed rice and a fish curry by the side!.
Enjoy!

Seven Spiced Shark Steaks --
INGREDIENTS
3 (8 ounce) shark steaks
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic salt
2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
2 tablespoons chili powder
DIRECTIONS
Rinse the shark steaks and trim off any skin!.
Mix together the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic salt, thyme, black pepper, and chili powder in a small bowl to form a paste!. Spread a thin layer of the soy sauce mixture on both sides of each shark steak!. Place on a plate and cover!. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes!.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C)!.
Arrange the shark on a baking sheet!. Bake the shark in the preheated oven until cooked completely through, about 40 minutes, turning the steaks over once, about half-way through the cooking time!.

Shark is wonderful, i love cooking it and wish i could eat it more often!. A really good spicey marinade i use is just a mixture of
Tiger Sauce, Teriyaki, some crushed garlic cloves, shallots, salt and pepper!. and it makes a great sauce if you take it a reduce it after you cook your fish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I can't believe these people are so incredulous about eating shark! It's a wonderful fish, especially on the BBQ!. I like teriyaki sauce on it, and Lawry's makes a nice, light one!. Kikkoman has some great heavier teriyaki marinades too!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
