Will I still be able to finish the recipe?!

Question: Will I still be able to finish the recipe!?
I'm making molasses cookies, but I ran out of molasses! Should I substitute balsamic vinegar!? Would I have to reduce it first!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You can't interchange vinegar and molasses! Yuk! Use brown sugar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

To be quite honest, it wont be the same if you substitute something else!. You're better off adjusting the recipe (ex: you only have 1/2 the molasses, so cut the rest of the ingredients by half) or going to the store and getting molasses!.

Substitutes:
dark corn syrup
OR maple syrup (works well in gingerbread cookies)
OR honey
OR barley malt syrup (weaker flavor; use 1/3 less)
OR brown sugar (Substitute 1!.5 cups brown sugar for every 1 cup molasses)Www@FoodAQ@Com

do not use balsamic vinegar use brown sugar which is sugar mixed with molasses!.combine that with a little water and it should work outWww@FoodAQ@Com
