Red, White and Blue Strawberry Shortcake --

INGREDIENTS
1 (18!.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 pint blueberries, rinsed and drained
2 pints fresh strawberries, rinsed and sliced


DIRECTIONS
Prepare cake according to package directions and bake in a 9x13 inch pan!. Cool completely!.
Frost cake with whipped topping!. Place blueberries in a square in the corner, and arrange sliced strawberries as stripes to make an American flag!. Chill until serving!.

1-2 cups fresh blueberries
2 cups fresh strawberries
4 small scoops of strawberry or raspberry sherbet (whichever you prefer)
1/2 -1 cup whipped cream, Boston Cream or vanilla pie, or yogurt

Cut the stems out of the strawberries and slice them in half!. Wash all the berries!. In a dessert dish put a small scoop of sherbet!. Next, top the sherbet with strawberries and blueberries!. Finally, place two to three tablespoons of yogurt or whipped cream on top of the berries and sherbet!. Repeat recipe in separate dessert dishes or cups in order to make four to six servings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

FOURTH OF JULY FLAG CAKE

1 pkg!. yellow or chocolate cake mix
2 pts!. fresh blueberries
3 pts!. fresh strawberries
3 c!. whipping cream (do not use whipped topping in aerosol can)
1/2 c!. confectioners' sugar

Bake cake according to package directions in 9 x 13 inch pan!. Cool!. (May be made ahead and frozen)!. Set on serving plate or board!. Whip cream with confectioners' sugar!. Cut strawberries in half lengthwise!. Spread cream evenly around sides of cake!.
Using a pastry bag, pipe (or spread with a spatula) rows of cream alternating with rows of strawberries for the flag "stripes"!. Make a background of blueberries in the upper left-hand corner, then pipe stars on top to create the "star" section of the cake!.

If making the cake ahead, arrange fruit several hours before serving!. Add cream up to an hour before serving!.

There are actually "blue" potatoes in the grocery (by the specialty products) !.!.!. so you could make potato salad using white, red & blue potatoes! (leave the peels on) !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Jello Jigglers, cut into stars, in Red & Blue!.!.!.!.!.!.!.and all the standard blueberry/strawberry shortcake or Flag Cake recipes:) !.!.!.!.!.!.!. Make two chocolate cake as the box says!. Then take whip cream and spread over the top of one add the other cake on top and spread with more whip cream then use strawberry's for the strips and blueberry's for the stars!. refrigerate until ready to eat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
