You can add beef broth but the package has powdered beef and it could be over the top!. You can buy low sodium beef broth or just add water and salt to taste!.
I make all my own broths by saving leftovers and just simmering them for a few hours then put them into small containers and pop them in the freezer!. When you need them just pop them in your receipe!. No need to thaw!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just use water!. That stuff is pretty concentrated and doesn't need anything added to it!. When I make French Dips, I buy the roast beef rare and then put it in the au jus to heat it up and it is really good because of the meat juice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Canned beef broth is loaded with salt and that packet of Au Jus is loaded with salt!. One or the other is good but using both is just overkill!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Add some sherry to it!. It has plenty of beef base in it already!. The sherry will help bring out the flavor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I never met an Au Jus too salty!.!.
