No Thyme--?!


Question: No Thyme--!?
I don't have any THYME leaves, can I substitute for something or just wait til I can go to the store!?

There is no direct substitution for thyme!.!.!.what you are cooking will determine what you can use though!. If it's a tomato-based recipe, Basil, and Oregano are excellent substitutes!. For fish or chicken, Tarragon works well!. With pork or lamb, rosemary is good!.

For herbs, you can almost always just substitute something that tastes/smells good to you!. It will change the flavor, but almost never in a bad way!Www@FoodAQ@Com
