Depends on how many slices of bread you have, but I normally do 1-2 eggs per 2 pieces of bread!. A splash of milk, about 1/4 cup or so!. A tablespoon of sugar!. Now if you want to use maple syrup as the sweetener just add that rather than sugar!. The cinnamon you want to add has a tendency to not want to become Incorporated into the mixture so try mixing the maple syrup and cinnamon together then add to the egg/milk mixture!.
Lightly butter the griddle dip the bread then place on hot griddle!.
If the cinnamon stays in little globules on the milk/egg mixture you could try putting it in a blender and giving it a whirl!. I normally just leave it alone and just dip and cook!.
I love french toast and think I will have to give the maple syrup a try next time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
