What else can you make with boxed cake mix?!


Question: What else can you make with boxed cake mix!?
I have some boxes of yellow cake mix and one of french vanilla, but nobody in our household likes cake!. Is there any other ways I can use this mix to make a dessert!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

CAKE MIX COOKIES

1 package of cake mix (any flavor)
1 large egg
1/4 cup of oil
1/4 cup of water
1 cup of chopped nuts, raisins, oatmeal, coconut, chocolate chips, M&M'S? etc!. (anything you like in cookies)

Heat oven to 350 degrees!. Combine cake mix, egg, oil, and water!. Beat until well blended!. Stir in remaining ingredient (s)!.
Drop by teaspoon about 1 inch apart onto greased cooke sheet!.

Bake for 15 minutes or until done!. Makes about 4 dozens!. Yummy!






Snickerdoodles


3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 package yellow cake mix without pudding
2 eggs
1/4 cup oil

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F!. Grease or spray cookie sheets!.

Mix cinnamon and sugar in small bowl and set aside!.

Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl until well mixed!. Roll dough into 1-inch balls; roll in cinnamon sugar mixture!.

Place balls 2 inches apart on cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of glass!.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 minutes or till set!. Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute then cool on a piece of foil on a flat surface!.





Peanut Butter Cookies
1 (18!.25 ounce) box yellow or white cake mix
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons water
2 eggs

Mix all ingredients well by hand!. Drop by teaspoon 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet!. Crisscross with a fork dipped in water!. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees F!. Remove from cookie sheet immediately!.

Makes 3 to 4 dozen





Pina Colada Cookies
1/4 cup butter, softened
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 egg yolk
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/2 teaspoon rum extract
1 (18!.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
1 cup coconut

Cream butter and cream cheese in mixer bowl until light and fluffy!. Blend in egg yolk, pineapple juice and rum extract!. Add cake mix one-third at a time, mixing well after each addition!. Stir in coconut!. Chill, covered, for 30 minutes!.

Drop by teaspoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheet!. Bake at 375 degrees F for 11 minutes or until light brown!. Cool on cookie sheet for several minutes!. Remove to wire rack to cool completely!.

Yield: 4 dozen





French Vanilla Macaroon Bars
1 (18!.25 ounce) box Pillsbury Moist French Vanilla cake mix
1/3 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 1/2 cups coconut
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees F!. Spray a 13 x 9-inch pan!.

Combine cake mix and butter!. Cut butter in with a fork until it resembles coarse crumbs!.

Mix all remaining ingredients, except chocolate chips!. Pour the batter into the pan!. Bake for 16-22 minutes!. Cool 15 minutes!.

In a small saucepan over low heat melt chocolate chips until stirring consistency!. Drizzle over cake!. Cool for 1 1/2 hours!.

Cut into bars!.

Makes 24 bars






Four Layer Bars
1 (18!.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
3 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup candy-coated milk chocolate candies
1/2 cup cocktail peanuts, chopped

Mix cake mix, butter and egg until blended!. Spread into lightly greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan!. Bake at 375 degrees F for 16 to 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean!.

Immediately sprinkle marshmallows, candies and peanuts over crust!. Bake an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until marshmallows begin to melt!. Cool completely; cut into bars!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make cookies with those cake mixes!

Easy Cake Mix Cookies recipe
1 (18!.25 ounce) box cake mix (any flavor desired)
1 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip
1 egg

Mix all ingredients, then form into balls and roll in confectioners' sugar!. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes!.
