Believe it or not beer and dark chocolate are found in more than a few chili recipes!

I prefer my chili smooth and with no beans!. I cook up a mix of ground beef and ground sausage and use tomato juice!. I season it to taste, meaning no mixing or measuring, simple adding in onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper and chili powder until it is as spicy as we like it!. Mine is more soupy than thick as we love to dip peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in it!. I will sometimes add in some beer!.
However my husband prefers his thick so I usually am cooking a smaller pot for him and I add in diced onions and pepper and beans in his and his is much thicker!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
