Question: Have you made mac & cheese like this!?
My boyfriends dad makes this delicous mac & cheese!.!.will you wonderful cooks out there give it a go!.!.and let me know what you think!?

Ingredients:
1 lb shell noodles (or elbow)
1lb of sharp cheddar cheese (we used black diamond yum will have to shred)
16 oz sour cream
1 stick of butter

Preheat oven to 325

Cook noodles as directed on box!. Drain!. Add butter and mix well until melted!. Add shredded cheese and sour cream!. Mix well!.

Pour into baking dish and bake at 325 for 45 minutes!.

i have made similar, but i would cut down on the butter by about half or else too much fat and you will have fat seperartion in your cooking, gross!. So modify and use the

box of noodles,
pound of chedder,
16oz of reduced fat sour cream,
and half a stick of butter!.

I would also melt half the cheese the butter in a saucepan and then pour that over the noodles in the cassorole dish before baking

then blend in the sour cream with the melted topping

top off with the rest of the cheese and some plain breadcrumbs for an extra crunch!.

Yes I have but Iam old so I have probably tried alot of things you haven't and it is good!.Ive been cooking 50 years so I have did alot of of changing things to experiment that's how you learn!. Thx,Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know someone who follows that recipe as well!. But be sure you only prepare the pasta until al dente before you mix and bake or you'll have mush!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yeah in trinidad we make it with macaroni and we call it macaroni pie and it is great!.It is a staple in Sunday lunchWww@FoodAQ@Com
