Recipe for a vinaigrette dressing?!


Question: Recipe for a vinaigrette dressing!?
A while back I had a cold pasta dish I brought from a Deli, it was some kind of vinaigrette dressing with bow tie pasta!.

The vinaigrette dressing was clear but not thick with some kind of herb!.

probably a vinegar and oil dressing with salt, pepper!. basil, oregano, garlic and onion powder!.

If it had a slight tartness maybe some dill weed!.

you should use 1 cup oil to 1/4 cup vinegar for balance!. the other spices start with 1/4 teaspoon and add to taste!

It's really good with balsalmic vinegar too but that wouldn't be clear!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

VINAIGRETTE DRESSING

Makes 1/2 cup!. Serves 8; 1 tablespoon per serving!.

2 tbsp!. plain nonfat yogurt
2 tbsp!. balsamic vinegar
4 tbsp!. acceptable vegetable oil
1/4 tsp!. salt
1/8 tsp!. freshly ground black pepper

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until thoroughly blended!. Cover and refrigerate!.

For each variation below, add the listed ingredients to the above recipe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1 tablespoon shallot, minced
1/4 cup balsamic or red wine vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

In a small bowl, whisk together the shallot, vinegar, oil and salt and pepper!.

Serve with a salad or steamed or grilled vegetables!. Add minced fresh herbs as desired!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
