Why do people post recipes they haven't tried?!

Question: Why do people post recipes they haven't tried!?
If I come here to ask for a recipe, it's because I Googled the recipe and just didn't find what I was looking for, or because I'd like someone to personally give some tips for a certain recipe!. I'm sure many other people are doing the same thing!.

So why do people answer by just copy/pasting recipes they found with a 10 second Google search!? I can find those myself, thank you very much, with a lot less trouble than it takes to ask a question and wait for answers!. If you honestly don't have an answer (never made the recipe), don't post a response! Please!

I have nothing against recipes online - Allrecipes is my favorite website of all time, but if I answer someone else's recipe question it's either with a recipe I've made many times myself, or with a recipe that has a 5 star rating and hundreds of useful comments regarding preparation and taste!.

So if you're a random recipe poster, can you please explain WHY!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I c&p out of my own cooking group!. It takes a lot of times to type something out and you should be glad that someone is trying to be helpful instead of complaining!. Truefully I could care less about points!. and the reason I post more then 1 recipe is because you dont know what that person likes or what things they have!. What I may think is great they wouldntWww@FoodAQ@Com

I only post recipes I've tried, but in defense of random posters!.!.!.

1) people hate taking the time to type out an entire recipe from their recipe box, and then the "poster" of the question doesn't take the time to choose a best answer
2) it's amazing how many people don't know how to use the search engine on their computer
3) sometimes, an answerer may have found exactly what a person asked for, from a site they know and love, and was unknown to the asker!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well I am not a random recipe poster so I can't tell you why folks do that except to get the two points for answering!. I only post recipes that I have tried myself whether they are my own recipes or from allrecipes!.com!. I don't know any other explanations other than people want two points or they are just trying to be helpful by providing recipes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't post recipes but the reason is because it takes to long to type out!.
So they copy and paste or send a link!.
People are only looking for points here ( most anyway)!.
I only list a link if a person asks!.
I just answered a question( that took me about 20 mins)!.

Most people won't do it!.

Good point!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I can't read all your rant
it Is called copy and paste
they ONLY get 2 points for their effort
that may have taken hours to search
or careful analyze it information
it is better for you read and learn
than we type out the answer

I just notice just how rude you are
if you know how goggle and how to web search
what are you doing here!.!.
just bit ching !?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

personally i do not do that but I find that some recipes are wonderful and if you find a recipe that looks wonderful with the kind of foods you use and love to eat with a new twist I would love to share it even before I try it but be assured that some are only out for the 2 points!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some folks maybe only be looking for points, I truly want to help!. I have several recipes I love (fix) and love to hand the recipe at functions and online!. I have found very good recipes this way as well!. I would also only love recipes that have been tried and tested to perfection!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i post the ones i have tried and or making like the herbed chicken mmmWww@FoodAQ@Com

Every recipe I post has been made by me in my kitchen!. UNLESS someone specifically says "I need help finding a recipe from a show on TV" or "I need a copy cat recipe for Olive Garden's Salad Dressing"!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.then I'll help them and search some sites Google may not pull up until way down in the oooooooo's pages!. If I post a recipe I haven't tried, I will tell you so, but usually it's because I trust the recpe creator enough to recommend their recipes, AND the recipe is on my "to-try" list and I just haven't gotten to it yet!Www@FoodAQ@Com
