Answers:
Absolutely! This is what I do:
Cook 4 cups of macaroni!. Pre-heat oven to 325!. Shread all of your cheese!. In a pan warm 1 cup of milk and 1 tablespoon of flour and a dash of salt and pepper!. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of shreaded cheese until melted!. Add in macaroni and mix well!. Pour all ingredients into a baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese!. Place in your oven for about 30-40 minutes (ovens vary) or until cheese is melted and slightly golden brown!. and wala! Real mac and cheese!

You bet!!!!!!!! My mother used to make it with cheddar!. Baked!. It does not cream well!. Velveeta has that market!.

She would cook the noodles about half way done!.
Put in a large casserole dish a layer at a time!. One 2" layer mac,one thin layer grated cheddar, enogh to cover!.!. Do that until noodle are on top!.

Cover entire top with a healthy amount of cheddar!.
Pour milk into it until it reaches the cheese!. don,t be skimpy with the milk!.

Bake it at 375 preheated oven for about 35-45 min, or until top is nice and toasty brown!.

Sometimes she would add sliced hot dogs or cubed ham!. It was one of my favorites and it is not hard to make!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I saw a lady on the food network use 4 different kind of block cheese, but she used a cheese shredder to shred it first!. After words she put it on the stove on warm and let it get good and melted!. It looked like regular mac and cheese!. Just add some milk to it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes you can add grated chedaar cheese !. Make a bechamel first which is a white sauce!. Add the cheese to the sauce and then add it to your macaroni!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes, your macaroni and cheese is going to be clumpy and stringy this isn't a very good cheese for melting, it might be a little less 'gross' if you add some milk and butter to the mixture!. GLWww@FoodAQ@Com
