Is ground beef meat ruined if soaked in water?!

Question: Is ground beef meat ruined if soaked in water!?
I tried defrosting it in a zip lock bag in some cold water in the sink!. But apparently the bag had a hole in it or something and when I got back to check on it, the meat was soaked with water!.

Is it ruined now or can I still cook it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It is not ruined!. You can still use it but I wouldn't make burgers out of it!. Make a pasta sauce or sloppy joe sauce and you will be fine!. Noone will taste it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

How are you cooking it!?
It shouldn't be ruined, just be sure to dry it very well with paper towels!. You should get several layers of paper towels lay the meat on the paper towels and flatten it onto the paper towels to dry it out!. Get more paper towels and turn the meat over and flatten that side as well!. It kinda depends on how you are going to cook it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can still cook it!. It depends on what you are going to make with it!. I used to know a lady who would make her meatballs and put them raw into her soup with no problem at all (other than the fact that there was a lot of grease in the soup)

Just be sure and cook the meat well in case there was some contaminate in the sink!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not ruined at all!. We actually cook some of our ground beef in water!. It helps (IMO) in removal of the liquid fat when you drain it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cook it!.!.!.!.!. its all going in the same placeWww@FoodAQ@Com
