When you cook meals regularly you have left-overs!. Get a large plastic bowl and put your left-overs in it!. It doesn't matter what it is, meatloaf, pot roast, green beans, corn, carrots, green peas, baked beans, it really doesn't matter!. One tip don't put potatoes in the freezer!. When they thaw they are nasty!. You just keep adding to the bowl until it is full and you are ready for soup!. When you are ready, take it out of the freezer and put in a large pot with some water!. Heat until it starts to break apart and then add some fresh diced potatoes, onions and add a can or two of crushed tomatoes!. Simmer a couple of hours stirring occasionally!. If it starts to get to thick just put a little water in it!.

I know this sounds complicated but it's really not!. You think about it you really don't need any seasonings because you have already seasoned everything when you first cooked them!.
Good Luck!! Have fun with your cooking!!!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I almost never actually make real soup!.
But when my niece and nephew (age 6 and 4) are visiting, we will occasionally have a snack of broth made from heating water in the microwave and dissolving a bouillon cube in the heated water!. It has a little spectacle to it what with the cup, the water, the microwave oven, the cube, and stirring until it dissolves!.
Good stuff!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I've had a busy day and I'm hungry and want to eat NOW!.!.!. I get out my small to medium size pot and put in a tablespoon of butter and oil, drop in a rough chopped onion and saute that, open a can of Beef Consomme, and add that to the onion!.!.!. then add 3/4 can of water to that!. Put in some pearl barley!. Chop up a red skin potato and add that to the soup!. Grab a carrot from the fridge, a rib of celery, and a fresh mushroom if I have it, then chop up the veggies and add them to the soup!. While I was shopping, I stopped by the Deli and got some paper thin Roast Beef, enough to make a sandwich; I shred it with my fingers, dropping it into the pot over the simmering veggies!. Give it a stir, check to see that the potatoes are done (and the barley) and it is ready to eat with a piece of bread!. I can do all that and be sitting down at the table to eat it in about 20 minutes!. If I added Pearl Barley into the mix, it will take a little longer!. Still it is a very quick and hearty meal for one!. Add more veggies plus an extra can of Beef Consomme and Roast Beef for more diners!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
