Peel potatoes
Rinse in cold water!.
Add to a pot with enough water to cover!.
Bring to the boil and add some salt!.
Reduce heat to a simmer and simmer until they are tender!. 10-15 minutes!.
Drain well!.
Add a splash of milk and a piece of butter and mash!.
The amount of butter determine how creamy they become, and the milk how dry they are!.
Using low fat butter and milk doesn't make them bad for you!.
It is all of the other things like using buttermilk and cheese that make spuds unhealthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You have three choices:
1 - get some real potatoes, peel them, cut them into chucks at least quarters!. The smaller the pieces the faster they cook!. Boil them in water with a pinch or two of salt until you can put a fork in them and they break apart - then carefully drain the hot water out!. Be careful of the hot steam it will burn you as much as the water!. Mash them with a masher or put them in a blender until mush!.If yo don't have a masher or blender you can do it with a fork!. Add butter and milk to you liking!. Go slow with the milk! You don't want them watery!. Add salt and pepper to your liking!.
Optional - sprinkle dill weed on the potatoes and mix it up!. Dill is great on potatoes!
3 - They sell frozen mashed potatoes in the frozen food section of the market!. Defrost and heat them!.
2 - buy instant mashed potatoes!. They come in a box and follow the directions on the box!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

boil your potatoes until they are soft, cut them in to smaller pieces (remove skins unless you want them in there), and mash them up !. Add butter, salt, pepper or whatever other seasonings to taste!. For creamier taters, add milk or cream!.
If you don't have a roast cooking to save the juice, you can make gravy by thickening broth with flour or a mixture of corn starch & cold water!. Heat, stirring constantly until it thickens!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
