Oatmeal Porridge

3 cups water
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup steel-cut oats (also called Irish oatmeal and Scotch oats)
Bring water and salt to a boil in medium saucepan!. Stir in oats and reduce heat to a simmer!. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until the grains have absorbed most of the water!.
Remove from heat and serve immediately, or if a thicker texture is desired, cover saucepan and let sit for a few minutes!.
Serve porridge sweetened with granulated or raw sugar, brown sugar or honey and drizzled with some milk or half and half as desired!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ok, this is the way i do it!. put some oats in a bowl and cover with 2 tablespoons of hot water!. they you must microwave for some 40 seconds!. after that, mix it together with as much milk as you like!. microwave for another minute and then mix and add honey! yum!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Buy the 1 min Instant oats!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I put in equal amounts of water, let it boil, remove from heat and equal amount of oats!. also put a dab of butter in the boiling water!. Let sit for 1-2 mins, then serve with brown sugar and milkWww@FoodAQ@Com
