How can i make a cake with less sugar, fat, OR salt!? What are some other options i can use to lower ONE or more of those things in a cake made from scratch!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Use fructose instead of white sugar, do not use salt, use salted butter or Crisco!. There are butter substitutes but I do not use them, you can also use Egg Beaters instead of whole eggs!. i make a white cake that call for only egg whites no yolk!.

I love a moist and tender Angel food cake!. You could make one with a mix!. There is no fat in an A!.f!.c!. and I believe it is lower in sugar than most - especially when you don't frost it!. You could serve it with fresh fruit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I never put salt in a cake!. I hate the way it tastes!. For sugar you can use splenda and instead of eggs you can use applesauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I know some people use applesauce to help replace fats/sugars!. You may also check out websites that have recipes for people with diabetes--they will have less sugar!. Happy baking!Www@FoodAQ@Com
