Refridgerating Cookie Dough?!

Question: Refridgerating Cookie Dough!?
My sister and I are having a bake sale for the Great American Bake Sale, and I work so it is going to be hard to make all the stuff the day before!. If I were to put homemade cookie dough in the fridge Thursday night, would it still be good by Sunday to bake!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

If its well covered, stored, and your fridge isnt broken i dont see why not!. I make a batch occasionaly and just pick at it until its gone, i've yet to be sick once!. Maybe you could freeze it and take it out and put it in the fridge the night before so it can defrost!? either way im sure you'll be fine!. good luck with your bake sale!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't profess to know much about Baking, at this moment I am trying to think of all the basic ingredients of cookies, but I don't see a problem with this at all!. May I suggest putting it into the refrigerator in a flat, even surface, that way when you pull it out to make the cookies, the dough will all come to proper temperature before you bake them!. (I wouldn't make them cold, fresh out of the frig)!. Homemade cookies that are made with room temperature eggs and butter are lighter, fluffier and softer tasting (this I do know)!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I hope this helps you out today!. Yes, our weekends tend to get a bit busy and Sunday projects are always wonderful, but bad timing!. Good for you to have the Great American Bake Sale and support your local Community! Have Fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not a problem!.
If you want to save some more time, pat the dough into a log wrap on plastic wrap close the ends well, refrigerate, Saturday just slice and bake!.
Other way you could do it is freeze portioned out balls, place on a cookie sheet to freeze then place in zip top bag place in the freezer!. Take from the freezer and bake when you want!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
