Answers:
I think your friend is referring to an appetizer/side dish called Deviled Eggs!. It is not a salad!. It is actually hard boiled eggs that are cut lengthwise and then stuffed with mashed egg yolks!.

Here is a very easy recipe:

INGREDIENTS (for six)
6 eggs
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder

DIRECTIONS
Place eggs in a pot of salted water!. Bring the water to a boil, and let eggs cook in boiling water until they are hard boiled, approximately 10 to 15 minutes!. Drain eggs, and let cool!.
Cut eggs in half, lengthwise!. Remove the egg yolks and mash them together in a small mixing bowl!. Mix in the paprika, mayonnaise, and dry mustard!. Spoon mixture into the egg shells, cool and serve!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it may be "devilled egg" - which I normally use for sandwiches!. There are a variety of recipes, however mine is: hard-boiled eggs, sliced &/or mashed-up with mayonaise & mustard (to taste & just enough to bind the sliced/mashed eggs), and then I add paprika & garlic powder (or salt)!.!.!. salt & pepper to taste!. This is very similar to "devilled eggs", which are appetizers, the hard boiled eggs are cut in half (long-ways), and then the yolks are made into a cream-filling that you put back in!? If you've made those, you can make devilled-egg sandwiches!.!.!.!.!. and I normally use dry bread as there is already mayo in the mix!.!.!. and an optional piece of lettuce!. Have fun with it!Www@FoodAQ@Com
