Can you use honey as a substitute for making a apple pie?!
Answers:
I presume you mean honey as a substitute for sugar!. I wouldn't in a recipe calling for sugar because honey is a liquid and sugar isn't, but there are several recipes that call for honey instead of sugar!. Like this one;
1 pastry for double-crust pie
5 cups sliced pared apples
3/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons butter
Fill a pastry lined 9" pie plate with sliced apples, pour over them the 3/4 cup honey and sprinkle with 1 Tsp!. each cinnamon and vanilla!.
Dot with small pieces of the 2 Tbls!. butter, cover with slashed top crust!.
Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes or until apples are tender!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you use honey rather than sugar increase the amount of flour or tapioca that you are using as a thickener!. It will need to absorb the extra liquid!. You may also want to pre bake the pie crust a little, or while you are heating the oven place a cookie sheet in the oven and get it hot, that way when you put the pie on it will bake the bottom of the pie faster so it does not get soggy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
This question does not make sense!.
No, you cannot use honey as a substitute for making apple pie, unless you can shape the honey to look and taste like an apple pie!. And if you can do that, you would be a very, very special person!. I would liken that to Jesus turning water into wine - A young woman who can turn honey into apple pie!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
