Don't listen to them, I've cooked it several times in the microwave and it comes out fine!. I marinate mine in a little soy, minced garlic and minced ginger for about 30 minutes!. Place it in a microwave safe dish with a couple of tablespoons of liquid (your choice: marinade, citrus juice, white wine etc!.!.!.) to keep it from drying out and cover it with plastic wrap!. Remember to vent the plastic!. Then just check it!. Start at 3 minutes, then add a minute each time until its done to your desire!. This method works fine on other fish as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The people who are saying you can't cook salmon in a microwave are totally wrong and probably have never cooked before!. You will see in the supermarket that there are lots of uncooked fish dishes that are microwave only!. And you can buy salmon and other fish steaks that say best cooked in microwave!.

Just put it on a microwave-safe plate, add some lemon juice, soy sauce or a little water, cover it and make sure there are a few holes or a gap in the top!. Then cook for 3 - 7 minutes depending on the amount of fish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Place the fish so that the largest parts are on the outside!. Arrange them in a position so they cook evenly (a round plate or bowl is best)

Cook the fish until the flesh becomes opaque and flakes easily!. Cook in 6 minute intervals on high (if using microwave safe plastic wrap, you'll only need 7:30 total for 500 grams of fish)!. Cook for no longer than 12 minutes, but this depends on the quantity of the fish!. Since microwaved foods continue to cook after being removed from the oven, let it stand covered for 2-3 minutes prior to serving!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Place the salmon on a microwaveable plate!. You can sprinkle lemon juice, pepper, honey, garlic, onion, soy sauce or anything else that you fancy on it!. Cover it with cling film and make sure you pierce a few holes in the cling film!. It will then 'steam' cook!. Cook it for about five minutes until you see the sides go flakey!.

When you do it the first time, keep an eye on it, as the cooking time will vary slightly, more or less, depending on size of the salmon!. Just watch for when the sides go flakey!. Better to take it out too early than too late as you can always give it another minute if it's not quite done!.

It's very easy to do and very tasty!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't do it, but it surely wouldn't take 4 hours! Try wax paper or parchment paper to wrap the fish in!. I think you might even have to turn it over once or twice!. Do it for 5 min at a time!. Only takes 10-15 on a grill!.

Better yet, cook it in the oven, grill and just reheat the fish in the microwave!. Nuking it will prevent all the added flavors from melding with the fillet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't cook Salmon in the microwave!.

But if you have to cook it in one marinate it in some soy sauce, brown sugar and garlic overnight!.
