Potatoes au Gratin:
* 2 lbs (900 g) potatoes
* 4 oz (112 g) grated cheese
* ? pint (290 ml) full or semi-skimmed milk
* 2 eggs
* Salt and pepper
Method:
1!. Peel the potatoes and slice into ?" (0!.5 cm) rounds!.
2!. Par boil in a large pan of salted water and drain!.
3!. Grease an ovenproof dish and arrange the potatoes in layers, sprinkling a little pepper and some cheese on each layer!.
4!. Beat the eggs with the milk and pour over the potatoes!.
5!. Bake in a pre-heated oven at Gas Mark 5 (375°F/190°C) for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are fully cooked!.
Cheese and Potato Pie
medium floury potatoes
1tbsp vegetable oil
1 small onion, thinly sliced
2 x 375g (12?oz)
packs ready-rolled
puff pastry
1 egg, lightly beaten,
to glaze
4 rashers streaky bacon, cut into 2cm (?in) strips (optional)
200g (6?oz) matured farmhouse cheddar cheese, coarsely grated
3tbsp single cream
1!. Heat the oven to 200oC (gas mark 6)!. Scrub the potatoes and boil them until they are just tender!. Drain, cool and thinly slice them!. Heat the oil in a large frying pan and cook the onion for 4-5 minutes or until it's softened!.
2!. Lay one piece of pastry on a greased baking tray and brush it lightly with the beaten egg!. Spread the cooked onions evenly over the pastry, leaving a 2cm (?in) border all the way around!. Top with the potatoes, a layer of bacon and then the grated cheddar cheese, seasoning each layer as you go!. Drizzle over the cream!.
3!. Place the second piece of pastry over the assembled filling and press the edges together!. Trim the edges, and then cut a small cross in the middle of the pie!. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden and risen!.

225g (8oz) Button Mushrooms
1 large Onion
160g (6oz) Cheddar Cheese grated
50g (2oz) Butter
25g (1oz) Plain Flour
3 tbsp Milk
2 tsp Paprika
Cut the potato into cubes, slice the leeks, onion and courgettes!.
Boil the potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes or until tender!.
Drain and mash with the milk, half the cheese and half the butter!.
Heat the remaining butter in a large pan and fry the leeks and onion for 4-5 minutes, until softened!.
Add the courgettes, mushrooms and paprika and fry for a further 2 minutes!.
Sprinkle in the flour, then slowly add the stock and bring to the boil, stirring continuously!.
Cover and allow to simmer for 5 minutes!.
Pre-heat oven to 200°C; 400°F: Gas 6!.
Spoon the vegetable mixture into an ovenproof dish and cover with the potato mixture, sprinkling with the remaining cheese!.

1/2 cup heavy cream

Bag of frozen shredded pot!., 1 cup sourcream, 1 can of cream of chicken, 2 cups shred ched cheese, 2 sticks of butter, 1 tsp salt, mix, bake at 350 for about 45 mins!. (the longer it bakes the better it is) this is also something you can just throw in a crock pot if wanted!Www@FoodAQ@Com
