How can I help to prevent my beef ribs from catching on fire, using a wet rub?!
I know there might be a BIG fire, so:
I am using a wet marinade, and don't intend to completely dry the ribs off!. I love the flavor and want all I can keep on the ribs!.
I have an idea that I should rub most of the marniade off, then heat the marinade to make a BBQ sauce, and then the ribs will be less likely to flame up!? Is this right!? Then add the sauce when the ribs are nearly done!?
I know how to put any fire out, by the way, since I do grill a lot of ribs, and they naturally from the fat cause flame, but this is my first time using a wet rub!. Can you help, please!?
Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I cook my ribs in the slow cooker for a while first then get them on the grill!. I soak them in bbq sauce (cheap stuff) while in the slow cooker!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
clean the drip plates obove the burners!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
grill them indirectly over a drip pan!. this should eliminate any chance of flare ups!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would suggest you par cook the ribs first!. This way, they won't have to be on the fire too long, and less chance of starting a fire!. Next, marinade them for a few hours!. Be sure the grill is HOT!. When you put them on the grill place them on the top rack and close the cover!. They will be far away enough from the flame to not burn but will still have that nice coating!. Just before you take them off you can add a little more marinade if you want, move them down closer to the flame be sure to keep a close eye on it!. also, this will enhance the taste of the marinade!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
