Answers:
yeahhh, acually i have a better suggesstion, put 2 slice of bread( prefered ciabatta) and make it tosted!. add pesto on the open side of the bread and add mayo, then put some goat chess and red roasted papers which you can eaisily make it at home by slicing it and just putting it in oven for 15 min!. then add lettuceand chicken if you want(cajun style in my opinion if you like spicy food)! well good luck , make it happen!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I found this recipe you could add bacon to:

Basil Pesto Sunshine Sandwich
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Ready In: 10 Minutes
Yields: 1 servings

INGREDIENTS:
1 slice focaccia bread, cut in
half horizontally
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
2 teaspoons basil pesto
2 tablespoons sun-dried tomato

pesto
1/4 cup roasted red peppers
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
DIRECTIONS:
1!. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and basil pesto; spread onto one half of bread!. Spread other half with sun-dried tomato pesto!. Arrange roasted red peppers on bottom piece!. Cover with feta cheese, then fresh basil!. Top with remaining slice of bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I personally would suggest mixing pesto with mascarpone cheese instead of mayo and skipping tomatoes - instead sprinkle a little grated cheddar cheese , yes cheddar ! add a crisp piece of bacon as a topper-or even shaved ham!.

If you are planning to use soft bread then make what is called rainbow sandwiches!
Take a combo of white and brown sliced bread, remove the crusts- Using about 12 slices spread the pesto on one slice, mascarpone on another!. spread a bit of mustard and mayo and a slice of ham, a slice of cheddar cheese , stack them one on top of each other till you have a height of 6 to 8 inches!. Press them down firmly and then wrap them in Foil and seal it- freeze them for an hour or a bit more,
Remove from Foil and thinly slice them say 2 inches each;
the colorful filling will be beautiful to look at and then you can place them on a platter and garnish them with finely cut lettuce!
Your guests will admire the effort - You can use any filling as long as it adheres to the bread-Keep the sides clear of the fillingsWww@FoodAQ@Com

I would put the pesto on then put a tomato, a slice of mozzarella cheese and then bacon crumbles on top!. Yum!. Or you can do pesto with parmesean cheese (broiled) and pine nuts on top!. Or pesto, brie cheese (broiled) and then pine nuts on top!. Yum!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

That sounds really good!
To make it even better, melt on some mozzarella cheese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
