Cooking contests?!
I see cooking and recipe contests all the time like on the food network, but I don't know where I'd find out about them before they happen!. My son loves cooking and he wants to be a chef, and I'm not so bad at it myself!. What I'd like to do is enter into some of these contests and enter my son into ones that would be appropriate for him and hopefully win a few (at least small prizes) to use to help save up for college or chef training if that is still what he wants!.
So does anyone know where I can find information about these contests before they happen!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Start by going to your local county fair and getting a premium book 4 to 6 months before the fair happens!. they have many categories and classes in each category for hundreds of foods!.
Cooking in food competitions IS NOT a money maker by any means!. if you are entering food and recipe competitions for the money dont even waste your time to start!. I compete in almost 20 competitions each and every year and i do not do it for the prize money!. there's much more to it than the prize!. most of the time it costs more for the cost of food than for first place then add your gas for the car missed day time from work and fuel and equipment for cooking your dish onsite!. I have invested over $5,000 closer to $10,000 in my gear and other things i bring necessary to each competition!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
