What do you recommend I buy (one thing) from Pampered Chef?!

Question: What do you recommend I buy (one thing) from Pampered Chef!?
I don't have a booklet and I haven't looked at their site yet!. My friend is having a party and I want to buy one thing to show support (without having to go to the party)!. I'm skeptical of a lot of "gadgetry!." I'm a semi-pro chef, so I don't need any thing in particular!. I just wondered what Pampered CHef products all you other cooks out there recommend!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
What I like about Pampered chef is the variety!. They have things from 75 cents (an orange peeler), to a hundred dollars (a pan!.) And lots of things in between!.
You can find a catalog online too!.
However, I would recommend the prep bowls!. (Set of 6 for $20)!. I LOVE them! I use them for kids snacks, and when I'm cooking!. Actually, they also make great little jello bowls (perfect size), or for pudding, or things like that!.
My husband had me get a second set, because he liked them so much!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Two items we have enjoyed using for years from Pampered Chef are: The can opener; works so well, we actually threw out our elec!. one and use the P C one all the time!.!.!.had it for at least 10 years!.!.!. and the ice cream scoop filled with some liquid that softens the ice cream as you dip,so it won't stick to the scoop!. We are on our third one, just don't put it in the dishwasher, it ruins them!. also have their measuring/mixing bowls with lids, a salad dressing shaker and measuring cups and spoons!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Every answer here I agree with!. But the one thing I use all the time is the apple wedger!. You hold it at the top of the apple and press down!. You have an apple that is cored and wedged!. It is great when you have impatient kids!. Plus it only takes a few seconds versus trying to cut and core with a knife!. It is like $10!.
The utility knife is awesome as well!. It costs a little more at $30 but has a lifetime guarantee!. It is german forged steel so very heavy and durable for any kind of cutting!. The weight is in the handle though which is different from other knives I have owned!. So it gives you more control of your cutting!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love the little chopper thing!. It's blade curves in kind of an S shape!. It's one of the less expensive items and it's really useful!. I use it instead of a food processor a lot!. It's chops stuff very well and it's quick and easy to clean!.

Oh they have a cool deviled egg holder thing too!. The piece that holds the eggs can be put in the freezer so it keeps the eggs nice or you can take that piece out all together and use it for something else!. It's a little more pricey thoWww@FoodAQ@Com

The stoneware is great!.!.!.!.you can't go wrong with that!. It's not a gaget, it is kind of like a cookie sheet except it's not metal!. It is not meant to be washed with soap but only with very hot water!. This way, the drippings and oils soak into the stone and season it for future cooking!. Everything tastes better and better as time goes by!. Everything also cooks really evenly!.!.!.no burned bottoms of cookies or meats or whatever!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I really like the vegetable peeler!.
Rubber spatulas are good quality!.
Bamboo spoons are very nice!.

Love the stone stuff--the big stone baker is particularly nice for roasted chicken!.!.

If you have room for/access to commercial kitchen products, it's hard to get excited about Pampered Chef!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is my absolute favorite item - use it all the time for grilling, baking, or even spritzing a viniagrette on a salad!. You just handpump it with the attached cap and it's good to go - I love it, wish I had a couple of them!

Kitchenware: Kitchen Spritzer #2506 $10!.50
Prepare pans with oil or mist salads with lemon juice using this refillable nonaerosol bottle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There Garlic press is better than any I have ever used from any store!. I got mine as a gift and liked it so much I bought a few for gifts to family and friends!. You don't even have to peel the garlic if you don't want to, just pop in a clove and give a squeeze!. Very good kitchen tool!. It cost more but worth every penny!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i also have some clips for bags i absolutely love!. there's 14 per bag of various sizes!.

overall though, i think their stuff is overpriced!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
