1 head of leaf lettuce and 1 head of iceberg lettuce and:

2 cans mandarin orange slices

7 oz slivered almonds that have been sauted until golden in 3 tbsp butter and 1/4 cup sugar and cooled

simple vinegarette dressing of 1/2 cup oil, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup vinegar, tsp of salt, few drops of tabasco sauceWww@FoodAQ@Com

I like a simple tossed salad made with hearts of romaine, baby spinach, tomatoes, red onions, cukes, and thinly sliced radishes!. Sometimes I'll add shredded carrots, too!. I let everyone choose their own dressing!. Blue cheese, ranch and Caesar dressing are the ones we use most often!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Baked asparagus wrapped in prosciutto compliments the lasagna!.

Salad comes at the end of an Italian meal!. Breads come at the start!.

Since lasagna is loaded with cheese & tomatoes & starch, I would go with a small antipasti, sauteed spinach & garlic or zuchinni, green beans or haricot verts, or simple crisp romaine & mixed greens w oil & vinegar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Salad: Italian dressing, slices of cucumber, black olives and tomato wedges!. Croutons, optional and some warm bread!. also, meatballs, sausage or bracholi (steak rolls), meat sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like Balsamic Vignarette dressing!. The lasagna is heavy, and I think an oil-based dressing cuts the flavor better:) !.!.!.!.!.Lots of crisp greens, olives, sliced onions, peppercinis or sweet red peppersWww@FoodAQ@Com

My husband doesn't like salad greens, so I usually serve lasagna with either Broccoli or Asparagus!. Must also have Garlic Knots (garlic bread sticks tied in a knot or just Garlic Bread) with the lasagna!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
