Can I used light brown sugar instead of dark brown sugar?!

Question: Can I used light brown sugar instead of dark brown sugar!?
I have a recipe that calls for dark brown sugar but I only have light brown!. The recipe also calls for molasses, so could I just add more to make up for the lack of dark brown sugar!?

Help, please!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You can substitute the light brown sugar for the dark brown sugar the difference would be minimal!.

Adding the molasses the recipe calls for would be more than enough for the recipe!.

hope this helps!. good luck and enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Or you can just use white sugar and add a good tbsp!. of molasses!. This is what I do in baking all the time if I run out of brown sugar and need some!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, you can switch the sugar out!. Don't add anymore molasses than what it calls for though because then your recipe might come out too thick!. I meant too sweet, I am sorry!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes

I interchange them all the time!. Just replace the dark with the light and add the called for amount of Molasses(not extra)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I do it all the time!. Don,t add more molasses!. your recipe would be way too sweet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

sure you can! i wouldn't add anything more!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
