Here is a website that mentions trying vinegar!.

From what I read about it on other websites, its better to start on the legs and arms first; try a small area first to see how sensitive your skin is to the treatment!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I just don't know why the lemon juice is in the recipe!? Is it to give it a scent!? Or, is there some chemical reason to add some acid!?
My guess is that vinegar would work if there's some chemical reason to add acid!. However, I'd use white wine vinegar if you have it because it's milder than regular white vinegar!. I've have used it as a substitute for lemon juice in salad dressings when I've found myself without lemons!. You aren't going to eat this stuff anyway!.
If you use regular vinegar, I'd try half vinegar and half water!.
That way the vinegar wouldn't be to harsh!.
It's worth experimenting!. You can always make just half the recipe in case it doesn't work!.
Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are two reasons for the use of citrus juice in sugar wax!. One is that it acts as a mild topical anesthetic, and the other is that of it's natural bleaching characteristics!. Vinegar will irritate the skin and cause a nice rash once the wax is removed from your skin! Play it safe! If you don't know, don't do it!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Try another citrus juice!. Vinegar may burn your skin!. Stay away from that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
