How to cook rice without a rice cooker?!


Question: How to cook rice without a rice cooker!?
Answers:
2 parts water, 1 part rice!. cook over a stovetop first on high, then when it boils, put it on low and cover with lid!.

I make mine in the microwave!. I use about 2 cups of rice and I put in enough water just to cover it!. I add a few spices depending on what I am using the rice for!. Then I put a paper towel over it and cook it for about 7-8 minutes!. Add the rest of the ingredients to the rice and serve in the same bowl!. Less clean up!. :) My rice comes out nice and fluffy every time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends on the rice!. Minute Rice is quick, you just follow the box and it takes a few minutes!. Basmati is longer, I have to saute the rice in oil for a bit, then add 2 cups broth to the 1 cup rice, then cook for 20 minutes!. Wild rice and brown rice take more like 45 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i found microwave is the time saver to cook rice!.
1 cup of rice or 250ml of rice and 1 1/2cup of water!.!.!.put some kitchen paper on the plate of microwave bcos it boils while it cooks u need this to soak the water!.!.much easy to clean up!.!.then cover the bowl with ur rice with clear wrap!.!.!.cook for 15minutes!.!.!. this is only for white rice!.!.!.

Use the microwave!. Put ur rice in a microwave safe bowl, put double the amount of water, cover and cook on high till done!. You'll need to stir it at least once!. Alternatively use a pot on the stove top!. :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com
