Green Bean Casserole

INGREDIENTS:
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/4 cup onion, diced
1 cup sour cream
3 (14!.5 ounce) cans French
style green beans, drained
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crumbled buttery round crackers
1 tablespoon butter, melted

DIRECTIONS:
1!. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!.
2!. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat!. Stir in flour until smooth, and cook for one minute!. Stir in the salt, sugar, onion, and sour cream!. Add green beans, and stir to coat!.
3!. Transfer the mixture to a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish!. Spread shredded cheese over the top!. In a small bowl, toss together cracker crumbs and remaining butter, and sprinkle over the cheese!.
4!. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top is golden and cheese is bubbly!.

Bacon and Scallion Potato Salad

Ingredients
6 slices smoked bacon
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
4 pounds small new potatoes, about 1-1/2 inches in diameter
3 celery ribs, chopped
1 cup coarsely chopped scallion greens
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Directions
1!. Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp and transfer with tongs to paper towels to drain!. Carefully pour fat from skillet into a measuring cup and reserve!. Coarsely crumble bacon!.
2!. Pour vinegar into a large bowl!. Put potatoes in a 5-quart pot, covered with cold water by 2 inches, and simmer, uncovered, until just tender, about 20 minutes!. Drain potatoes in a colander and rinse slightly with cold water!. When cool enough to handle, quarter potatoes, adding them to bowl as cut, tossing to coat!. Add 1 tablespoon reserved bacon fat and remaining ingredients, and salt and pepper to taste, tossing to combine well!.

White Picnic Cake w!. Fresh Raspberries

Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 whole eggs
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons whole milk
1 cup of your favorite frosting, optional
8 ounces fresh raspberries, picked over, rinsed and dried

Method
Preheat oven to 350°
Grease and flour a 9 x 9 inch pan or line a muffin pan with paper liners!.

In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter!. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla!. Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well!. Finally stir in the milk until batter is smooth!. Pour or spoon batter into the prepared pan!. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes!. For cupcakes, bake 20 to 25 minutes!. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch!.

Frost as desired!. Arrange raspberries over top of cake

Cake Tip: For a cake bottom that is as moist at the frosting-covered top, turn the cake out of the pan once it has cooled!. Put the cake back in the pan upside-down!. Now the moist cake top will be on the bottom, and the bottom of the cake, which can be dry, will be on top and covered with delicious moist frosting!.

3 cans refried beans
spread in glass cake pan
1 lager tub sour cream
2-8oz bars cream cheese
1 pack taco seasoning
mix together spread on top beans
sprinkle 2 packs taco cheese over, now top with chopped green onions and tomato's serve with toasta chips

Pickle Rolls

4 packs dried beef {like budding brand
1 lagre jar dillpickle spears
2-8oz bars cream cheese soft

seperate beef into 2piece stacks spread cream cheese on top in the beefplace a spear on cheese roll beef around and slice into bite size pieces Let chill an hour or 2

Asparagus Roll-up Appetizer

What you'll need:
- 20 thin slices of white bread
- 3 oz!. Bleu Cheese
- 1 egg
- 20 asparagus spears (fresh or frozen and cooked crisp)
- 1/1 lb!. butter (melted or less to cover bread)

First, trim crust from the bread slices!. Flatten each slice with a rolling pin!. Blend the egg and cheese and spread evenly on each bread slice!.

Next, roll 1 spear in each slice of bread!. Dip each roll in melted butter!. Place on a cookie sheet and freeze!. Slice each roll into 4 pieces (thaw it slightly to make slicing easier!.

Bake at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes!.

You can also make a variation by using whole wheat bread instead of white bread for a hearty flavor!. Or try using pumpernickel bread or rye of some kind!. The different breads give different flavors!. White bread is the easiest to use, but the other breads add some interesting flavors that are hard to beat!.

Egg Salad Wonton Cups
What you'll need:
- 36 wonton wrappers
- 3 cups egg salad (your own recipe)
- 1/3 cup green onions (chopped)
- 1/3 cup carrot (shredded)
First things first!. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F!.

Then, coat one side of each wonton wrapper with nonstick cooking spray!. Take the wonton wrappers and gently press the coated side down into miniature muffin cups!.

Bake the wontons for 10-12 minutes or until they turn golden brown and then remove them from the oven and place on wire racks to cool!.

Next, combine the egg salad, onions and carrot and mix well!. At this point, stir in the bacon!. Finally, spoon about 1 Tablespoon of the egg salad into each wonton cup!. Complete your beautiful appetizer by garnishing each cup with the cut tomatoes and a little parsley!.

This delicious appetizer recipe yeilds 3 dozen!.

Artichoke Appetizer
What you'll need:
- 1 pkg!. cocktail rye bread
- 1 can artichoke hearts (in water)
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

First, drain the artichoke hearts!. Cut the rye bread slices in half!. Mix the mayonnaise and Parmesan cheese!. Cut the artichoke hearts into slices and place on slices of the rye bread!.

Next, spread about 3/4 tsp of the mayonnaise-Parmesan mixture on top of the artichoke hearts on the bread!. Turn on the oven to broil and place mini open-faced sandwiches on a broiling pan and broil until it turns a golden brown!. Serve it up, nice and warm!

This recipe makes approximately 2 1/2 dozen!.

Spicy Hot Chicken Strips

3 pounds boneless chicken breasts without skin
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons red pepper, [or less]
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup flour
vegetable oil

Wash chicken breasts and pat dry!. Cut into 1-inch strips!. Sprinkle
chicken strips with salt and garlic powder, turning pieces so all sides
are seasoned!. Continue seasoning with with red and black peppers!.

Refrigerate for 1 hour to bring out the flavor of seasonings!.

Dust chicken with flour, then deep fry in vegetable oil at 370°, for 3 to 4 minutes!. Drain on paper towels; serve with your favorite dipping sauce

Wrap little smokies in mini crescent rolls, (or cut up some big ones) and bake , and serve with a mixture of grape jelly and bbq sauce ( really!)

1 fryer, boiled and chopped up
2 ribs celery, minced
3 green onions, sliced thin
1 cup mayo (real stuff)
1 TBS soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste

Mix together and put on croissants!. Top with slivered almonds, tomato and lettuce if desired!.

You can make a cucumber salad as a side dish!. It's also a favorite in the south for barbecues,

3 or 4 sliced cucumbers without the skin
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
1 cup of apple cider vinegar!. Combine everything except the cucumbers and pour mixture over sliced cucumbers!. Then soak it over night!. I also add sliced white onions and chopped green onions!. It has a nice sweet n sour taste to it and very delicious!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 to 3 canned chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, minced

Maple Barbecued Chicken Drumsticks

Makes 6 servings

Ingredients:

1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup maple syrup
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
3 tablespoons CRISCO Oil
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
12 chicken drumsticks (about 3 pounds)

Preparation:

Bring first 7 ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat!. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring often, 6 minutes!. Remove 1/4 cup chili sauce mixture, and brush evenly on chicken drumsticks!. Reserve remaining chili sauce mixture for basting!.

Prepare a hot fire by piling charcoal on one side of grill, leaving other side empty!. (For gas grills, light only one side, heating to 400° to 500°!.) Arrange chicken drumsticks on food grate on unlit side!.

Grill drumsticks, covered with grill lid, 1 hour or until chicken is done, turning drumsticks once and basting with remaining chili sauce mixture every 15 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
