To add or not to add mozzarella?!

Question: To add or not to add mozzarella!?
Hi, I am making a pasta dish to take to a friends house it will be eaten cold!. I am adding peppers onions tomatoes etc and would usualy add mozzarella when serving hot but as it will be served cold do you think I should leave it out, will it go all chewy!?

Answers:
my husband is a cheese maker and tester and he says that it is better not to put it on when serving cold as it has not much flavour and is mainly used for texture when hot!. Hope this helps :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use mozzarella in my pasta salad all the time so I suggest you add the mozzarella!. If your worried about it turning to mush you can leave it off and get a bag of mozzarella that is already shredded and add it when your ready to serve it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hmmm good question
You only put the mozzarella on so it will melt right!? But in this case it won't melt so I don't think there's any point of putting it on!. I'm sure you pasta will still taste nice though!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would use grated Parmesan Cheese!.

It works great in salads and will work just fine with the ingredients you have listed here!.

Serve it lightly topped and put shakers on the table in case the folks want more!.

Happy dayWww@FoodAQ@Com

You could add the cheese just before serving as a topping to the dish, but I would make sure it is finely shredded!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it depens on ur taste do wat ever u think i like it hot thoughWww@FoodAQ@Com

Take the mozzarella (grated) in a separate container and let diners decide whether or not to add it!. I usually do this with pasta salads because when I add cheese I like it light and fresh!.!.!.not gooey!.

Have you thought about mixing some parmesan cheese into the grated mozzarella!? It's delicious!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
