Now! Can I substitute sour cream for cream cheese?!


Question: Now! Can I substitute sour cream for cream cheese!?
I am making this recipe and only have half of cream cheese it calls for, but do have sour cream!. Can I use some sour cream to substitute for the other half of cream cheese!?

· 2 (16 ounce) packages frozen corn kernels
· 1/2 cup butter, melted
· 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
· 1 clove garlic, pressed
· 1 teaspoon white sugar
· salt
· 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1!. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!.
2!. 2 Cook corn according to package directions!.
3!. Drain water, then mix in butter, cream cheese, garlic, sugar, salt, and parsley!.
4!. Spoon into a casserole dish and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, until lightly browned on top!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could substitute sour cream or mayo!. If it is too runny, add a little corn starch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That would depend on what type of sour cream it is!. If it's non-fat or light, it's pretty runny!. If it's regular, thick sour cream, it should be fine, but I'd just add 1/2 of what I need and see what the texture is when I stir it up!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
