This is my favorite weekend breakfast!.
Not before it becomes french toast, that is if you are talking about buttering the bread before you dip it in the egg bath!.
Best Ever French Toast
1 loaf King's Hawaiian Bread, sliced 3/4 inch thick
4 eggs, well beaten
1-1/2 to 2 cups milk
2 Tablespoons orange juice
1 Tablespoon sugar or sugar substitute
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Place bread slices in large baking pan (use 2 if necessary)!. Mix beaten eggs and other ingredients well; pour slowly over bread slices and refrigerate overnight!. Heat griddle coated with butter spray or canola oil at "medium"!. Cook 3 to 4 minutes on each side until browned!. Serve with fresh fruit and syrup or dust with powdered sugar!.

1 Tbsp!. Sugar
1 Tbsp!. Cinnamon
1/4 tap!. Nutmeg
1 tsp!. Orange Lemon extract
3 or 4 drops Vanilla extract
1/4 tap!. Salt
6 slices thick white bread or French bread
Beat eggs with half and half!. Add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg , orange or lemon extract, vanilla extract, and salt!. Soak both sides of bread in the mixture for a couple of minutes!. Fry in melted butter or shortening until brown on both sides!. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with butter and syrup or honey!.

my kids love french toast!.!.
i put eggs in bowl w tablespoon of sugar either do cinnamon or!.!.!.you can add nesquik to do a chocolate french toast version!.!.kids love it w bit of whip cream on top and flakes of real chocolate!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

some people choose butter!. it really adds a delicious flavor to the toast!. but pam or whatever is more convenient!. i use canola oil because i like how the eggs get a bit crispy!. so you pick! have fun and enjoy your french toast!Www@FoodAQ@Com
bo u have to dip the bread in eggs that u beat in a seperate bowl!. u dip them in the eggs and fry them right away, u can add cinnamon to the egg mix for a twist!. and i eat them with syrup afterward!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
there are many methods of cooking french toast!. butter is used for spreading on the breads before frying!. the other is to avoid breads sticking on the pans (just like cooking spray)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
