2 oz!. margarine, 4 oz brown sugar, 4 oz flour!. Rub the margarine and flour together through your fingers until it has the texture of bread crumbs, add the sugar and mix lightly!. Spread evenly over the fruit and bake in the oven at 375° F (about 180° C) until the topping is golden brown!.
Never tried it with strawberries!. You might need to add some sugar and lemon juice to the fruit!.
That's a recipe from the cook book which came with my first cooker (1966), which is why it's not metric!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just use one cup of regular flour, 1/2 to 3/4 stick butter and 1/2 cup white or brown sugar!. Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter (or use two knives) and then add the sugar and mix with a fork until a rough crumble dough results that you can spread or shake over the fruit (any fruit is good)!.
