How to make Tart Crust from Scratch?!
Hi! I'm looking for recipes to make the base or the crust of cream tarts from scratch!. I've noticed that there are recipes on how to make the tarts but there aren't any on how to make the crust!.!.!. they just write but one from the local supermarket!. I'm happy to help!. Here's a great tart shell recipe!.
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 tbsp finely grated lemon zest (optional)
1 3/4 cup flour
1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 pinch of salt
Melt the butter and add 1 tbsp!. of the zest!. Let stand for 5 min!. Whisk together the flour, sugar and salt in a medium bowl!. Pour in the butter mixture in a fine stream, stirring with a fork, and continue stirring until dough comes together!. Transfer to the tart pan and press it evenly up the sides and into the bottom!. Bake for 20 min at 350!. Let cool on a wire rack while making the filling!.
This is also lovely with a lemon filling!. Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com
