Hamburger, and meat in general, is a low-carb food!. Carbs are found in breads, potatoes, rice, macaroni, pastas, etc!. I like to just prepare the hamburger as you would if you were serving it on a bun, except dice an onion, a green pepper, and throw some mushrooms into the pan and saute them all together!. Season the hamburger meat as you like, but I like to add a little garlic powder, some Worcestershire sauce, a dollop of hot sauce and a little salt to the mix!. This way you have the meat and veggies all cooked together in one pan and it is very tasty!. Instead of the usual tossed salad, maybe slice a tomato and sprinkle with a good quality balsamic vinaigrette!. This should fill you up without a single carb!.!.!.or at least with only a few!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Meat by itself is fairly low carb!. The bun and the things you put in the hamburger are where the carbs are!.
You can try using 100% whole wheat bread instead of white flour hamburger buns!. Avoid the ketchup as it contains corn syrup which is basically concentrated sugar (carbohydrates)!.
Though if you really don't want any additional carbs leave out everything except for cheese, meat and mustard*!.
*Mustard is usually carb free unless its honey mustard!.
You can add certain veggies but in moderation!. Some veggies contain small amounts of carbohydrates!.
You can also try making a simple stir fry using broccoli, hamburger meat, and other low carb veggies!. Be careful on what ingredients you use to season it though!.!.!. some store bought stir fry sauces have alot of carbs!
You could make meat loaf!. That's pretty low carb as long as you leave out any white flour ingredients like bread crumbs or white bread!. You could use whole wheat bread instead!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pan fry your hamburger meat either as hamburgers or break it up with a fork, with sliced onions, minced garlic, chopped green peppers, and if you like, sliced mushrooms!. Top with a can of seasoned stewed or diced tomatoes and heat until bubbly!. If there are any veggies that you can have, toss in some frozen ones with the tomatoes and cook until done!.

Meat doesn't have alot of carbs !.!.!. but the BUNS do! That's why people can eat as much meat as they want on the Atkins Diet:) !.!.!.!.so, stay away from bread, flour, potato & rice products and do whatever you want with hamburger meat!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Make the burger your steak- season it well, cook it to the temp you want and top it with grilled onions or cheese!. Then on the side have a nice salad of lettuce, tomatoes, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
