Trust me on this!.!.!. If you want a really tasty steak!.!.!.!.
Here is the trick!.
1st let the steak sit out from the fridge until it reaches room temperature!. This is the most important thing you can do no matter how you season it!.!.
Then apply a very thin coat of olive oil!.
Apply a generous coat of salt, pepper, and garlic powder!.!.!.
That's it!.!.!.
I know it doesn't sound like much, but it will be incredible!.!.If you follow all the steps!.!.

The only other thing i can add is to cook it over charcoal!.!.
I hope its a bone in rib eye steak!.!.

This marinade is great - you can use this with any cut of steak!.

Bourbon Flank Steak with
Red Wine & Balsamic Vinegars

1 1/2 - 2 pounds Flank Steak
1/2 cup Bourbon
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tbs balsamic vinegar
2 tbs olive oil
Seasonings:
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 - 1 tsp cayanne pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Place steak, bourbon, red wine & balsamic
vinegars in large plastic bag, remove as much
air from bag before sealing!. Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight!.

40 minutes before ready to cook, remove steak
from plastic bag!. Place on serving platter, cover
with plastic wrap until ready to grill!.

Mix seasonings well, blot steak of all marinade
and sprinkle both sides with seasoning!.

Start grill, heat for 15 minutes!. Oil grill rack
with a paper towel soaked in olive oil!. Grill steak
4-6 minutes per side, rotating a quarter turn to
get grill marks half way through cook time!.

Cook to Medium-rare or 120 degrees!. Meat will
continue to cook while resting!. Tent with foil,
rest 10 minutes!. Cutting against the grain, slice
thin and serve with horseradish sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

world's best marinade (according to my family):

1/3 oil (olive oil works well)
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup chopped onion
3-4 cloves garlic
3 tablespoons Worchester Sauce
1/4 tablespoon dried parsley, or 1 tablespoon of fresh
pepper to taste

best to blend it and put it in a container with the steaks or in a freezer bag

To prepare a basic marinade

Add seasoning of your choice to 1/2 C oil & 1/2 C water along with meat of your choice in a large ziplock top bag, seal tight!. Marinade in fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight!.

Can freeze this marinade until you're ready to use it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A little Kitchen Bouquet, Montreal Steak Seasoning, and dry red wine!. Marinate uncovered in a pan!. Then when I am grilling the steaks I pour the reserved marinade into a saucepan and mix about 1/2 stick of butter into saucepane and make a rich sauce for the steak!. Sooo good!Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I do rib eye I just use Italian dressing, maybe baste it with some melted butter!. On tougher cuts like sirloin we use Italian dressing, worcestershire & soy sauce!. Don't use anything on Filet Mignon except a piece of bacon wrapped around it!. The packaged & bottled marinades are good too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it is a good cut of beef - don't marinate!. Salt and pepper are fine!.
If it is a tougher cut try 1/4C Soy Sauce, 4T Olive oil, 1/2 t Black pepper, 1/2 C Orange (or other fruit)Juice and 1 Cup water!. works for me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Worchester Sauce, Lawry's Seasoned Pepper, Garlic Salt, Salt and Pepper and let soak in the fridge for at least an hour before cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, whenver we make steak we maranade it in Worshester sause, soy sauce, and minced garlic!. It really good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
