Answers:
Over time a microwave will need longer and longer to cook it!. My method: I put it in for 4 minutes, let it cook for 2 then I pay attention to it untilt he pops are 4 seconds apart!. No pop for exactly 4 seconds, its done! enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Perfect for your microwave may not be for others!. They tell people that so they pay attention and don't set their house on fire!. It's called "a litigation society" thus we have warnings on everything!.

Edit
LOL, yes Libby but the term "Litagation Society" is an inside joke at my office, thus the quotation marks (which should have indicated something was up to you)!. I was tickling my own funny bone, so to speak!. Guess you would have to be here--has to do with a very old case!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

b/c if your microwvae is big and powerful, they don't want to be responsible for (a) burning and ruining your snack, or (b) burning down your house by starting a fire!.

I find the button works fine for regular popcorn, though we shave 8 seconds off for kettle corn!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Most popcorn buttons have 2 different cook times for two different bag sizes: 3!.5oz and 1!.75oz!. Along with varying temperatures, sometimes it's not wise to use the button unless you've done it several times before!. Just do what works for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Because every microwave is different, and sometimes trusting the popcorn button will burn or undercook the bag of popcorn!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

some popcorn is not made for the "popcorn Button" Just do what the bag says

EDIT: actually BlueSea, Litigious SocietyWww@FoodAQ@Com
