Answers:
You mean smoked salmon, don't you!? Technically smoking does cook it a little!.

No, you cook them!. To preserve the succulence, squeeze over lemon and/or lime juice, and wrap in foil packages, but not tightly or they will overcook!. Place the packages on a baking tray, or in a roasting dish and follow the time and temperature recommendation on the pack!. If no time is given no longer than 15 - 20 minutes; the flesh should be pale pink and flake easily!.

To aid moisture retention, add a little water to the package!. The cooking instructions will be on the pack they came in!.

You can serve them with a dill, lemon and yoghurt dressing!. Simply finely chop some fresh dill and mix it into some natural yoghurt with some lemon juice!.

Veggie-wise, I would suggest some Jersey Royals and either steamed spinach (spinach is far better steamed than boiled) or watercress!.

Finally, if you're drinking, then a light Chardonnay goes very well with salmon, which doesn't need a heavy wine!. Something citrusy - and *very* well chilled!.

Salmon is one of your oily fish portions; very high in Omega 3, 6 and 9, protein and low in fat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you can always fry them in olive oil with a dash of salt and black pepper, whilst taking some new potato's and slice them in half long ways and boil them until cooked then drain and fry them also in olive oil until golden brown, i like to add dill to the pots whilst frying, then chop an onion and a tomato mix them up, with asparagus also!. when you put on you're plate you should have salmon, pots, tom and onion mix with asparagus drizzle over virgin olive oil!. its delicious!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Usually when you have it raw on a salad it is either smoked salmon or gradvalax!. So if you have just bought a normal salmon steak, you'd be better off cooking it!. Grill, steam or bake it!. It doesnt take very long!.

Thats not to say you cant have it raw though - if you are sure its super fresh you could have it raw in sushi, or you could prepare it as a ceviche where it is basically 'cooked' from the acid in citrus fruit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hi,
I like raw fresh or smoked salmon, finely sliced!. but steaks need to be cooked!.

One of the best ways, used in top restaurants, is to flash fry them!.

Score a few cuts through the skin, rub some salt in, and fry skin side down in butter for a couple of minutes, flip them over for another minute of so!.

Job done!.
