I grilled steaks last night, can I re-use the coals this weekend?!

Question: I grilled steaks last night, can I re-use the coals this weekend!?
I have a lot of coals remaining in my grill that are either unused or partially used (I clearly used to many grilling on Monday)!. I'd rather not waste all of the good charcoal briquettes so is there a way I can store them or do I have to toss everything!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes you can use them!.!.!.!. FYI Charcoal is Wood!.!.!.!.!.My guess is that there is a lot of ash inside of your BBQ, and that probably restricted the air intake and when you closed the lid it simply smothered the fire and left you some unburned charcoal!. Happens all the time!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't recommend reusing them!. They won't burn long enough, if at all, to barbecue your food the next time!. Try barbecuing everything on the coals to get your money's worth!. I cut up potatoes and onions and put them in packets with olive oil and garlic herb mix and toss them on with corn on the cob and steaks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, you can reuse the coals!. Be sure to get all of the previous ash off before you add new coals, and if your grill has an ash catcher, be sure to keep it cleaned out to get maximum air flow through the bottom vents!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Absolutely, you can use them!. They are just as good as new ones except they won't last as long if they are partially used up just like anything else!. Depending on what you are grilling time will be you might need to add some new ones also!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, I do it, wait for them to cool down put them in a container , bring em out next time you want to grill light and light them up!. works fineWww@FoodAQ@Com

You can definitely use them!. But you'll probably have to add some new coals on top because the old ones won't last as long since they're partially burned up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sure!

Just add some fresh coal; lit it up and use!.

Remember to shake off the ashes first!.

(I'm surprised that it did not burn to ashes after you used; somehow it is short of oxygen)Www@FoodAQ@Com

no it could start a fireWww@FoodAQ@Com
