Yes, a meatloaf can be prepared in the a!.m!. and then baked at night!. Most cook books don't tell you this but you can reject the traditional "form" of a meat loaf in favor of shaping it like a great big ole hamburger in your roasting pan and kinda mound it up a little in the center!. The reason to do that is it will cook a whole lot faster and be ready to serve to the hungry diners shortly!. The best way to check if it is done is to insert an instant read thermometer into the center; it should read 160° F!.

You can pick up an instant read thermometer for about $6!.00 in most any big supermarket if you don't have one!. It may be done much sooner than you anticipate, if you try this method!.!.!. check the first time after about 25 minutes!.

Another thing to do: Make a major batch, cook & freeze!.
When you want meatloaf, put it in the oven while still frozen for 20-30 min @ same temp as cooking temp (usually low temp, my dad's recommendation)Www@FoodAQ@Com
