Fluffy White Icing
* 2 egg whites
* 1 1/2 cups sugar
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 1/3 cup water
* 2 teaspoons light corn syrup
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Combine sugar, water, salt and corn syrup in small pot and bring to boil!. Take off heat and cool a little while you beat the egg whites in the mixer on high till they slightly peak!. Then pour the hot syrup mixture into egg whites very slowly while mixer is still going!. Pour the mixture onto the side of the bowl, not into the beaters or you will get splattered with the hot syrup!. Beat on high 7 minutes, or until mixture will stand in stiff peaks!. Basic Creamy Butter Frosting
To make 3-1/3 cups (enough to frost a 2 layer or tube cake)
1 cup butter or margarine, softened (I use butter)
3 cups powdered sugar (icing sugar)
2 egg yolks
2-3 tbsps flavoring liquid (see below)
In a large mixer bowl, beat butter at high speed until fluffy!. On low speed, gradually beat in sugar and egg yolks to blend!. Turn mixer back on high speed!. Beat for 3 minutes or until light and fluffy!. Turn mixer back on low, beat in enough flavoring liquid (see below) to make frosting spreading consistency!. Don't pour all of liquid at once, only use what you need!.
Suggested Combinations
Lemon or Orange Creamy Butter Frosting: Use lemon or orange juice for flavoring liquid!. Stir in 1!.2 teaspoon grated lemon or orange peel per cup of frosting!.
Chocolate: Beat in2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder when powdered sugar is added!. Use milk for flavoring liquid!.

* 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted if clumpy
* 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 1/4 cup plain soy milk or soy creamer
Instructions
1!. Beat the shortening and margarine together until well combined and fluffy!. Add the sugar and beat for about 3 more minutes!.
2!. Add the vanilla and soy milk, and beat for another 5 to 7 minutes until fluffy!.

1) a bag of MILK chocolate chipits, then add a small container of sour cream ( sounds gross but has a chocolate bar flavour)
2) make your usual icing (butter, icing sugar) and add nesquick!.
