Question: How do i make bread pudding!?
Answers:
Breadpudding is basically torn bread, soaked in an egg and milk mixture with vanilla, sugar and a pinch of salt!.!.!.allowed to sit refrigerated at least 3 hours to absorb the liquid, then poured into a buttered casserole, bits of butter and cinamin on top and baked @ 350 for about an hour, until set!. BLUEBERRY BREAD PUDDING:
Spread butter or margarine on 12 slices of French bread!.
Arrange slices, butter up, in single layer in greased 3 qt dish!.
Heat 3 cups half'n'half or whole milk on medium heat 8 mins,
until it starts to bubble around edges!.
Beat 5 lg eggs, 1/2 cup white sugar, 2 tbsp vanilla, until pale!.
Slowly add 1/2 cup of warm cream/milk, stirring constantly!.
When combined, pour evenly over bread slices!.
Place baking dish in large roasting pan,
carefully pour boiling water into pan, halfway up dish sides!.
Bake uncovered in 350F oven for 35 minutes until set!.
Remove carefully from roasting pan, let stand 15 minutes!.
BLUEBERRY SAUCE:
Combine 2 cups fresh/frozen blueberries,
1/4 cup blueberry jam, 3 tbsp orange liqueur (Grand Marnier),
2 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp water, in medium fry-pan, stirring!.
Bring to boil over medium heat, for 5 minutes, until thickened!.

PINEAPPLE BREAD PUDDING
1/2 c!. softened butter
1 c!. sugar
1/2 tsp!. cinnamon
4 eggs
1 (13-1/2 oz) can crushed pineapple, well drained
2 c!. 1/2" bread cubes (any white, raisin bread will work)
1/4 c!. chopped pecans
In large bowl, beat butter, sugar & cinnamon for 1 min, scraping bowl down!. Add eggs, beat on high until mixture is light & fluffy (about 2 min)!. Fold in pineapple, bread cubes & pecans!. Pour into greased 1-1/2 qt!. casserole!. Bake in preheated 325 oven, for 40-45 min, or until knife inserted in center comes out cleanWww@FoodAQ@Com

1 Loaf slightly stale bread
450ml (16 floz) Red wine
230ml (6 floz) Honey
225g (8oz) Raisins
115ml (4 floz) Melted butter or oil
110g (4oz) Candied ginger
55ml (2 floz) Water
3 Eggs whites, slightly beaten
? tsp Mace
? tsp "Good Poudyr" - any combination of pepper, cubeb, Galingal, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc!.
? tsp Cloves
? tsp Salt
Candied anise seeds

Cut or break the bread into small pieces!.
Sauté lightly in the butter or oil until golden then drain!.
In a separate saucepan, bring the honey, egg whites, and water just to the boiling point, skimming off any scum that rises to the surface!.
When clear, remove from heat!.
Add the honey mixture to the bread, along with all the other ingredients except the anise seeds!.
Blend well!. (If using a food processor of blender, omit the raisins and candied ginger, adding after the mixture is blended)
If the mixture seems too thick, add a little more wine, if too thin, add more bread!.
Preheat oven to 150°C: 300°F: Gas 2
Bake for approx!. 20-30 minutes, or until the pudding is set and just begins to brown on top!.

Sugar Pie’s Almost Famous Sourdough Bread Pudding with Southenrn Comfort Sauce

4 cups milk
4 eggs
? cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp!. melted butter
? tsp!. kosher salt
2 tsp!. vanilla
4 cups stale sourdough bread cubes (cut up and leave out overnight… if you’re not going to use sourdough bread, at least use French bread)

In a large bowl, whisk milk, eggs, sugar, butter, salt, and vanilla together!. Add bread cubes, toss well, and let soak until all liquid is absorbed!. (You can add up to 1 cup extra milk if there is no liquid to be absorbed after tossing!.) You want cubs moist but not sitting in a soup!.

Grease a 9”x13” baking dish!. Add bread mixture to pan!. Place pan in an even larger dish of water to form a water-bath, and bake at 350oF for about an hour!. (Without the water bath, the pudding will rise too high when baking, then fall and be too dense after removal from oven!.)

To make the Southern Comfort Sauce: In a small saucepan, place ? cup brown sugar, ? water, and 3 Tbsp!. of butter!. Bring this to a boil, stirring occasionally!. REMOVE from heat, and then stir in 2-3 oz!. of Southern Comfort whisky!. Stir well and ladle over warm bread pudding!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You cut the crust off some slices of white bread!. Spread with butter!. Layer in a casserole dish along with saltanas or raisins (You can add chocolate and jam to make queens pudding which is oh-so-good!)!. 'Drown' this in a mixture of milk, eggs, cinnamon and sugar (can add vanilla essence if you wish) and sit in the fridge for 1 hour or even overnight for best results!. This is what I do

Crumble old bread and place in a bowl, make a simple custard, 1 cup full fat milk, 1/3 cup sugar and 3 beaten eggs, ,mix together in a sauce pan, stir constantly,heat until it boils, turn heat down to a simmer, until the mixture thickens slightly, remove from heat add 1 tsp of vanilla, 2 tbsp butter, pour over bread!. You can add nuts, chocolate chips, crumbled cookies, berries anything you like at this point!. Refrigrerate until it sets, overnight is best!. Enjoy God BlessWww@FoodAQ@Com

That is so funny - I have some in the oven right now!

3 cups white bread, cubed ((I had a ton of bun leftovers so I used those!))
2 cups milk
1 Tbsp!. butter
4 eggs
2/3 cups sugar
1/2 cup raisins (I doubled the recipe but didn't use 1 whole cup of raisins so give or take!)
1 tsp!. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp!. ground nutmeg
2 tsp!. vanilla

Sauce:
1 C packed brown sugar
1 stick butter cut into pieces
1/4 C honey

Place bread in an 8 x 8 inch baking dish!. Combine milk and butter in a saucepan and cook over lo heat until butter is melted, allow it to cool slightly!. Beat eggs and add to milk mixture!. Add sugar, raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla and pour over bread cubes!. Bake for 30 minutes at 325 degrees, pour sauce over bread and bake an additional 10 inutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

6 slices day-old bread
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
3/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!.

Break bread into small pieces into an 8 inch square baking pan!. Drizzle melted butter or margarine over bread!. If desired, sprinkle with raisins!.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla!. Beat until well mixed!. Pour over bread, and lightly push down with a fork until bread is covered and soaking up the egg mixture!.

There are sooo many recipes!.!.!.but which ever you choose the importance is the bread and the sauce!.!.!.the best bread pudding I've eaten used brioche (a slightly sweet butter-rich bread that is also sturdy) as the bread!.!.!.!.and for the sauce!.!.!.!.Jack Daniels helped make a kick (you know what) sauce!!! You can always sub!.!.in such recipes it's really the quantity of the bread or liquor!.!.!.etc!. that matters!. Good Luck!!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
