Bring a big pot of water to a boil!. Leave a few inches of head room so it doesn't boil over!. It will boil quicker if you cover it!.
Put your sauce in a small saucepan, cover it and bring it to a simmer over medium heat!. Stir it every few minutes or it may stick to the bottom of the pan and burn!.
When the pasta water boils, add a big pinch of salt, then your pasta!. Raw pasta gets much bigger as it absorbs water, so think about how much you want to eat and put in about half as much!. It will double in size!.
Let the pasta water come back to a boil, uncovered stirring the pasta occasionally so it doesn't stick to itself!. Once it's boiling, turn the heat down slightly or it may boil over on you (but do keep it boiling and uncovered)!.
Different pasta shapes and thicknesses have different cooking times!. Find the cooking directions on the package (they are usually really tiny, but they will be there somewhere)!. It will probably be somewhere around 8-12 minutes!.
When the pasta cooking time is done, take a piece out with a spoon or fork and taste it to see if it's just a litle chewy but soft enough!. That's what you're going for!. If it needs more time, keep it boiling!.
When the pasta is done, drain it over the sink in a collander!. Be careful of the steam - it can burn you!.
Put the sauce on the pasta, sprinkle on some parmesan cheese if you have it, then enjoy
Warning: It's easy to get distracted when you're cooking and forget about a pot on the stove!. The safest thing is to just not leave the kitchen while you're cooking!.
Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah what they said, you can add some cooked ground beef to the sauce!. Mix the sauce that's been simmering to the drained pasta!.
Add some parmesan cheese to the top or in the sauce for extra flavor!.
Oh yeah, make some frozen garlic bread to put on the side, either in the oven or toaster oven if you have time!. You can do it at the same time so it's ready together with the spaghetti!. Just look at the box to tell you what temperature to put the oven on!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I usually make mine with ground beef!. I cook the beef with about 1/2 a chopped onion until the onions are translucent and the meat is thoroughly cooked!. Drain the grease from the meat, and pour whatever spaghetti sauce into the pan with the meat!. I don't really measure, I just add everything and keep tasting until it tastes how I want!. I use oregano, a couple bay leaves, some cayenne pepper (a little bit goes a long way!!), garlic powder, and my favorite thing ever!.!.!.SUGAR! It really cuts the acidity of the tomato sauce and I think it tastes so much better with sugar than without!. I usually use about a half a cup in a big pot, but again, I'm not big on measuring for my spaghetti!. I don't think I could write down a recipe if I wanted to! Just add a few things here and there until you really like how it tastes!. That's what's so fun about cooking: experimenting!Www@FoodAQ@Com
