What is the best way to cook/heat asparagus? (be detailed as possible, thanks!)?!
I really love asparagus and would love to have it on the side of chicken breast, salmon or a steak as opposed to peas, corn or green beans in a can!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I cook asparagus in a grill pan on the stove, spray asparagus with cooking spray!. Heat pan on medium-high heat, when hot add asparagus, cook about 6-8 minutes turning a few times!. Plate, Season with salt and pepper, squeeze fresh lemon juice on asparagus!. !. !. easy, cooked crisp yet tender!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I pan fry mine and add these ingredients to it while frying:
1/4 cup butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 pound fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat!. Stir in the olive oil, salt, and pepper!. Cook garlic in butter for a minute, but do not brown!. Add asparagus, and cook for 10 minutes, turning asparagus to ensure even cooking!.

blanched and shocked with hollandaise sauce
sauted with salt and pepper
Oh!.!.!. hold the tip of the asparagus and with a pealer make long strips of asparagus use about 15 spears!. heat in butter for about 2 min!. Then add 4oz of heavy cream and 4oz of milk or 8oz of half a half!. (it is easier to adjust with milk than using just half a half) stir until thicken serve with chicken breast skin on with the chicken breast heat some oil about 5 tblsp over med-high heat, place chix skin side down!. You should hear it sizzle but not to fast!. If it is going to fast turn down the heat!. With a spoon baste the chix with the hot oil this may take awhile until you get used to the tecnique!. Just listen for the sound of a steady sizzle on the chix!. Don't worry if the chix sticks to the pan just leave it alone and when the skin crisps up it will release ( it know when it is done ) After about 10 min check the temp 165 internal temp!. or squeeze the sides of the chix!. you should feel some resistance and no pink fluid should be present!. Just keep basting every so often!. If you are not sure about how good you are about judging the doneness cut it open and check for a solid white color!. if not keep basting until done!. 165 internal temp!. There is a ton of ways to cook asparagus!. you can saute in butter and garlic, or boil for a couple mins until just tender but still crisp, or you can grill it (my personal fave)!. What you will want to do is lightly drizzle asparagus with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, put on grill in opposite direction as grates, cook for about a min and a half depending on the temp of the grill, then turn over grill about another min!. Take it off the grill when it is still a little crunchy and put a pat of garlic butter on top of it!. it will be delicious!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just bring a taller streamer to a rapid boil and set the asparagus spears in for 2-3 mintues then take out and drizzle with a mixer of olive oil, lemon juice, sea salt, and pepper!.
