Wash green tomatos first, then slice about quarter inch thick!. Beat an egg with a little water in a shallow dish or pie plate!. In another pie plate, mix cornmeal or flour with some salt and pepper (or seasoned salt), and a sprinkle of sugar, then dip the sliced tomato in the egg, then in the flour/cornmeal!. Heat a frying pan with about a quarter inch of oil, and fry the tomato slices til they are golden!. A little hot sauce in the egg is good if you want it spicier!. Taste the first ones to make sure you have them seasoned enough, you can sprinkle a little more salt, etc, as needed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We always just slice and roll the slices in salted, peppered flour and fry in olive oil!. Yum! They have such a nice flavor that you don't really have to add anything, although salt is good with them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
