I'm from the states and have no idea what "beef mince" is!. If that's ground beef!.!.!.then here's how I do it:

1!. On the grill for starters, I don't like the taste of charcoal, or propane, or wood fire for that matter!. We use an electric kettle grill!.

2!. Use 80/20 ground chuck!. Yes, it's very fatty, yet flavourful!.

3!. We like to stuff 'em w/ jack cheese, serrano chiles, and mushrooms!. Pad sea salt into the patties just before grilling!. A dash of fresh ground pepper doesn't hurt either!.

4!. 5-6 minutes per side for "medium" given a 1/3 lb burger pattie!. 4 minutes per side for rare!. Grill must be covered between flips!.!.!.and flip only once!.

5!. Toasted onion buns, buttered both sides!.

6!. Thinly sliced white onion to taste!.

7!. Steak sauce w/ a dash of Tabasco!.

8!. Followed by an ice cold beer!!!!!!

*drooling*

Thanks, now I'm hungry, again! LOL!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I never really follow recipes but this is my favourite way of cooking hamburger patties which you can add to if you wanted to!.

500g beef mince
1 egg
The crumbs from 1 slice of bread (I usually use wholemeal and use a food processor to make the crumbs)
A generous splash of worsteshire sauce
Salt & Pepper

Mix all the ingredients together, the egg and the bread makes the end result really tasty and soft!.
Worsteshire sauce gives it a nice flavour!.

When you fry them, be gentle!. For a healthier option you could put them in the oven and they'll come out really nice!. About 180C degrees until they look done!.

You could go nuts with this recipe!.!. you could add various grated vegetables like carrot or zuchinni, add finely chopped onion, a pinch of nutmeg for a sweet and savoury flavour!.
Go nuts!

Hope that helps :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

add
1 grated carrot
1 grated onion
1/2 grated capsicum
1 tea spoon of garlic
a small ammount of your fav sauce, i!.e!. sweet chilli, tomato
2 teaspoon or small container of tomato paste
1-2 eggs
enough dried bread crumbs to make mixture dough like!.

mix all ingredents with mince and then shape into balls and flatten into patties and then pan fry, bbq or cook on health grill if you have one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We make ours nearly the same, 1 egg, 500g mince, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (I cheat and use the packet ones!), a shake of mixed herbs and a generous squeeze of tomato sauce!.
Mix everything together by hand then roll into balls and coat in flour!.
Then fry in oil in the frypan at a medium temp!.
You could add onions, which my mum does!.!.!. or just about anything that takes your fancy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

How about Dijon Burgers with Cognac! That's just one of three French-style burgers I posted in an article on Suite101,com!.
